CVM Cymru is growing across Wales. In fact, the last 12 months have been really encouraging for the team in North Wales, mid-Wales and South Wales. At the point of writing this update we are hopeful that we will soon have more representation in both mid-Wales and in North Wales.
The CVM Cymru team is led by Jon Stockley. Jon is based in North West Wales with his wife Jo and their son, Keiron. Jon is growing into a more and more confident Welsh speaker. He has a very strong focus on leading men to faith in Jesus, across Wales, and a crucial part of this is developing resources for the Welsh speaking community.
Over the past few months, we have been working really hard to translate ‘The Crazy Way’ into Welsh and we are delighted to confirm that the funding for this project is in place and we are aiming to publish ‘Bywyd Gwallgo’ for release in early 2020.
CVM Cymru is also delighted to work with a number of other ministries, including ‘Who Let the Dads Out’, ‘Sports Chaplaincy Wales’ and ‘Evangelical Alliance Wales’. We genuinely believe that as we work together with other ministries, we can see this nation of Wales led back to faith in God.
The strength of CVM Cymru really does come from our local Area Coordinators working on the ground, from men’s groups, right across Wales, doing men’s outreach week in and week out, but also from a growing community of church leaders acting as ambassadors for us. These church leaders support the local Area Coordinators, encourage the men’s groups in their areas and they help us to network further and further afield.
There is so much that CVM Cymru needs to do to change the narrative of men not being in the church that we need your help to even scratch the surface. If you feel that you are able to support us, in any way, as we go about this vital work please do contact Jon on jon.stockley@cvm.org.uk.
Together we can build God’s Kingdom here in Wales.
